S.T.A.M.P. (Searching Tempe Around Map-Project)

October 13, 2008

I'm living in Tempe, AZ from mid August'08 till June '09 and one of the things I love about travelling and discovering new places is the opportunity to step into very unique places you couldn't be in anywhere else. Being also a lover of coffee, tea, all kinds of sweets and good music, it's for me a very pleasant mission to try to get to know as many as possible unique businesses in the area. On the other hand, being here among so many geo-guys makes me think spatial more and more so I tend to need to map everything.

S.T.A.M.P. stands for Searching Tempe Around Map-Project and is a personal project which tries to collect coffee houses, bars, restaurants and every kind of business with a little bit more charm than any commercial chain spread everywhere. Today I start it off with a few locations only, but I'd like it to grow more and more and, ideally, it'd be perfect if more people collaborated in it by dropping comments and suggesting new locations. I now push the snoball up the hill, let's see how far it gets...
